Remember about safety

A single-acting cylinder has been used in the device. It is only designed to lift the load up / down in one direction. The actuator has no safety catches that could support the weight.

Once the load is lifted, additional support should be provided as soon as possible. The device may not be used as a support for weight.



Why shouldn't the weight rest on the cylinder?

The weight of the lifted element being held in the raised position will lead to inevitable wear of the actuator. That can cause the actuator to lower.
